VERSE 1
Zephyr, up on the eighth floor,
Stacks the lies, page by page, and more.
Headlines sorted, neat and true,
Filed in folders marked “Skewed View.”
All the truths they tried to dodge.
VERSE 2
Then he mumbles:
"The world’s a ball, spinning in silence."
She shrugs without looking up:
"Thinkin’ too much brings violence."
VERSE 3
One day, he sets a mirror there,
Hoping folks might start to care.
Rust beneath, no fancy garland:
“Look close, mate — there’s no foul hand.”
VERSE 4
Passers-by snap, scroll and sneer.
One lad scoffs: “This? Dead, my dear!”
An old dame shouts: “It ain’t me — it’s you!”
But Zephyr watches, says nowt, sees through.
VERSE 5
Tight shot on camera:
"What’s this about, a sermon aired?"
He shrugs:
"This mirror don’t preach — it just stares."
VERSE 6
I stare, you stare, it’s all pose.
Selfies, filters, ego shows.
They show off, loud, proud and slick —
But it’s all preachin’ in a hospice, real quick.
VERSE 7
A broken shard, caught in light,
Holds his face, pale and slight.
And he says:
"They beg to understand...
But scream too loud to hear a hand."
VERSE 8
No sirens, just a cold steel kiss.
They cuff him slow — no fuss, no hiss.
He once thought thinkin’ was still sweet —
Now it’s a crime in the public street.
VERSE 9 (final)
Clinic walls, madman's brand:
"Logic breach — he don’t understand."
He laughs — a soft, sharp beat:
"Talk to a madman,
And it takes two in the seat."
